Funeral services for Wanda Lee Boevers, 84, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at the Verden First Baptist Church with Troy Taylor officiating.
Wanda Lee (Gardener) Boevers was born on May 3, 1933 in Pocasset, Oklahoma, the daughter of Earl Lee Gardener and Stella Lee (Hughes) Gardener. She passed from this life on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Wanda lived all her life in Grady County, graduating from Verden High School in 1951.
She married Donald Lynn Boevers on December 6 th and to this union her three children were born, Randy, Dan, and Lee Ann were born. Later in her life, she married Edward Keeton on December 29, 1993 in Ninnekah, Oklahoma.
Wanda worked for Dr. Barbara McDougal and a doctor in Norman for several years. She was also a homemaker for many years and loved to work in her yard, take care of her goats, and was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Wanda was a member of Ninnekah First Baptist Church for many years, where she served on numerous committees and loved her Sunday School Class. She later became a member of Verden First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Ed; son, Randy Don Boevers; and brother, Earnest Lynn Gardener.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Sherri Boevers of Ninnekah; daughter, Lee Ann Boevers of Chickasha; grandsons, Cody Boevers, Travis Boevers, and Brodie Boevers; granddaughter, Tiffany Payne; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.
Interment will be in Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
