A graveside funeral service for Tommy McHugh, 88, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2026, in the Pioneer Cemetery with Pastor R.C. Lewis officiating.

Tommy McHugh was born August 9, 1937, in Norge, Oklahoma, the son of Marvin McHugh and Lola (McDonald) McHugh. He passed from this life on Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Midwest City, Oklahoma, surrounded by his family.

Tommy grew up in Norge, Oklahoma, and graduated from Pioneer High School in 1955. He was later employed at Pet Milk for several years. He was enlisted in the National Guard Army Unit in Fort Ord, California, for seven years.

On September 2, 1961, he married Shirley Geraldine Floyd, and they enjoyed 64 years together.

Tommy was employed at Lee Way Freight and Consolidated Freightways for several years until his retirement.

Tommy enjoyed fishing, loved animals, and kept a fire going for other campers. He loved working in the garden and feeding the birds in the backyard.

He was a good man that loved his family, and he will be missed dearly.

He enjoyed watching the Dodgers baseball, OU football, OU softball, and Dallas Cowboys football!

He was preceded in death by both his parents, two sisters, June Cox and Maybell James, and two brothers, Don McHugh and Dale McHugh.

Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley Geraldine of the home, daughters, Kelly and husband Danny Allen of Chickasha, and Jamie McHugh of Chickasha, grandchildren, Nathan Allen and Danielle and husband Jose Flores; great-grandchild, Sebastian Flores; sister, Gladys and husband Tommy Pearcy of Chickasha; brother, David and wife Pat McHugh of Chickasha and other extended family.

Viewing for Tommy will be held on Sunday, March 29th from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Interment in Pioneer Cemetery, will be under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
