Chickasha

A Celebration of Life for Terry Clay Hoskins, 60, of Chickasha, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church with Pastor Anthony Brucci officiating.

Terry Clay Hoskins was born January 3, 1965, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Ira Clay Hoskins and Dorcella Eileen (Gosney) Hoskins. He passed from this life on Monday, July 21, 2025, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Terry grew up on a ranch in Guthrie, Oklahoma and graduated from Coyle High School. He attended a year at Northern Oklahoma College.

He worked as a welder before attending the police academy. He was employed with the Logan County Sheriff’s Department, the Guthrie Police Department and the UCO Campus in Edmond dedicating 11 years as a law enforcement officer. He then followed his police career as a tech investigator until 2012. For the past 15 years, he worked for TETRA Technologies as a product line supervisor.

April 19, 2008, he married Alysia Clark in Missouri, and they shared seventeen years together.

Terry was a man with many hobbies and never missed a beat when it came to his work life. He found joy in all the farm animals, time spent fishing, old classic cars, time at the range, and most importantly, a strong cup of coffee. He had a deep love for the outdoors and the quiet moments of his farm life where his heart was most at home with his girls. He shared a special bond with his daughter Aubree through their mutual love of weather tracking and stargazing. Above all, Terry's greatest love was his faith and he cherished the Bible. It wasn't just something he read, it was something he lived. He carried his faith with quiet strength, sharing the word of God wholeheartedly with those around him.

He was preceded in death by both parents, his uncles and aunts Zelma and Walter Mounts and Ezra and Geraldine Sauer.

Loved ones left to remember him are his wife Alysia, daughters Aubree Hoskins and Shaylee Johnson, sister Tami Hoskins, nieces Marlee and Macie Arambula, cousins, and other extended family and friends.

The family would like to express their deepest thanks to the incredible team at Integris Cancer Center, who treated Terry not just as a patient, but as a person with love and compassion. We are especially grateful to Choice Hospice staff and nurses, and Glenhaven Retirement Village staff, whose gentle care and comfort helped carry us through the hardest moments with grace. Additionally, the family would like to thank TETRA Technologies for their continued support and commitment to Terry and his family for many years.

The service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
