A memorial service for Teressa Louise Gardner, 74, of Chickasha, will be held by the family at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Full Gospel Church with Sister Alice Wendling officiating.

Teressa Louise Gardner was born March 8, 1951, in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Jay Roy Pursley and Margaret Lucille (Airington) Pursley. She passed from this life on March 4, 2026, at her home in Chickasha, Oklahoma, just a few days away from her 75th birthday and her wedding anniversary.

Teressa grew up in Chickasha and attended Chickasha Public Schools. She was employed at Chickasha Public School for over 16 years. She married Chic Gardner March 8, 1992, in Chickasha. She loved her family and her dogs very much. Chic cared for Teressa through her sickness and health problems and he enjoyed his time with her very much. They had a special bond together throughout their marriage.

She was preceded in death by both parents; daughter, Dondie Renea Alcorn; sister, Sharon Faye Raper; brothers, Otis Gene (Butch) Vann, Timmy Dale Pursley, Roy Allen Pursley, and Robert Ray "Bobby" Thompson.

Loved ones left to cherish her memories are her husband, Clarence Gardner of the home; daughter, Dralinda Wilson of Paris, Texas; son, Edward Hutto of Chickasha; brother and sister-in-law, Barry and Lily Thompson of Chickasha and sister-in-law Melvetta Pursley of Chickasha; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
