A funeral service for Vannah Sue Hazel Pruitt Hart, 88, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Vannah Sue Hazel Pruitt Hart departed this life peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025, to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born on January 3, 1937 in Lone Grove, OK.
Sue was the second child of James Willard Pruitt and Murphy Davis Pruitt. She grew up in Ardmore, OK and graduated from high school in 1955. She attended the University of Oklahoma. On December 30, 1955, she married Allen “Mac” McBride Hart of Anadarko, OK. Sue was always a joy to be around and able to bring a smile to people in many ways. She truly loved caring for others and taking an interest in their lives. Her humor was infectious and sincerity was resolute. Her ability to uplift others will be missed greatly. In the early 1970’s Sue was involved with various organizations in Tulsa, OK, including CPA Wives and United Cerebral Palsy Foundation.
She also enjoyed a season performing in Tulsa’s Red Glove Review and participated in volunteer work at St. Francis Hospital. After a few years in Northbrook, IL, and Morristown, NJ, and then back to Tulsa again, she moved with her family to Chickasha in 1976. Sue retired in 2006 from Washita Valley Community Action after 15 years. She was also a member of New Life Christian Church in Chickasha, OK.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Allen M. Hart; her parents James Willard Pruitt and Murphy Davis Pruitt; her brother Juddy “Jud” Lee Willard Pruitt; maternal grandparents John A. and Vannah Davis; and paternal grandparents Judson and Molly Pruitt.
She is survived by her son Allen M. Hart, Jr of Denver, CO; her daughter Cindy Hart Morris and husband Coby of Chickasha, OK, and their children and spouses Drake and Whitney Morris, Cade and Monica Morris, and Ashlyn and Aaron Morrow, and four great-grandchildren: Taylin Morris, Daxton Morris, Blair Hazel Morris, and Drew Morrow; and her brother Juddy’s children and their families: Jud, Susan, and Craig.

A viewing for Sue will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
