A memorial service for Stanley Duane Bennett, 81, of Chickasha will be held at a later date by his family.
Stanley Duane Bennett was born March 19, 1944, in Snyder, Oklahoma the son of Charles Paul Bennett and Gertrude Mae (Beason) Bennett. He passed from this life on Monday, August 18, 2025, at his home in Chickasha surrounded by his loving family.
Duane grew up in Synder, Oklahoma and graduated from Synder High School. He married Karen Gross on July 3, 1967, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Air Force from 1967 until 1970. Graduated from the University of Oklahoma with an Electrical Engineering Degree. Worked for Boeing for over 25 years where he worked on the cruise missile, B-52, B-2 and F-22 programs. He also worked for Rockwell on the B-1 program.
Most proud of his three children. He was an exceptional woodworker, model builder, tile layer, friend, husband, and father. Enjoyed astronomy and listening to music.
He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers, Carl Bennett, Johnnie Bennett, and Donald Bennett, and only grandchild, Danny Bennett.
Loved ones left to remember Duane are his wife, Karen of the home; sons, Brett Bennett and spouse Claire of Saugus, California and Chris Bennett and partner, Norma Robles of Yukon; and daughter, Shari Bennett of San Tan Valley, Arizona.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
