Sharon G. Snell was born February 10th, 1955, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to Robert and Mildred Doller. On June 27th, 2025, she was called home to join her Lord and Savior. The celebration of her life will be held at Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha on Wednesday, July 2nd, at 10:30 a.m., followed by a burial at the Marlow Cemetery.
Sharon was raised in Marlow, Oklahoma, graduating from Marlow High School in 1973; upon graduation, she attended the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha, where she earned her B.A. in Business Administration. There she met her future husband, David Snell; they were married January 3, 1976, in her hometown of Marlow. She and her husband welcomed their twin girls in 1982 and made their home in Chickasha, teaching them how to swim in the backyard pool. Sharon was employed by Ernest Sehon in an administrative role for several years; she was later employed as an administrative assistant to Harold Jackson, owner of 7 McDonald’s stores, the position which she retired from after 20 years of service.
Upon retirement, she was able to continue in her greatest role as wife to David, mother to twins Stacy and Lisa, and Mimi to four grandchildren. In her retirement years, Sharon and David made their home away from home traveling around Oklahoma state parks in their camper; they also made several trips around the Southwest United States to see the beauty of God’s creation at many national parks and enjoy each other’s company. She and David were members of Trinity Baptist Church and attended Bible Baptist Church; she and her family are dedicated Christians, seeking to honor the Lord and bring glory to His name in all things.
She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Mildred Doller, sister Roberta Wortham, and granddaughter Mia Hastings. Awaiting to join her and her Lord at home is her husband of 49 and a half years, David of the home, daughter Stacy Hastings and husband Scott of Mustang, daughter Lisa Baker and her husband Michael of Mustang, and grandchildren Ella Baker, Hudson Baker, Leah Hastings, and Maggie Hastings of Mustang.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at OU Health and Stephenson Cancer Center for their genuine care and compassion towards Sharon and her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bible Baptist Youth of Chickasha and to Best Friends Animal Society of Utah.
