A private memorial service for Sharon Ann Bookout, 77, of Chickasha, will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, by the family.

Sharon Ann Bookout was born August 19, 1948, in Anadarko, Oklahoma, to Marvin Harvey Axton and Florence Ellen (Allen) Axton. She passed from this life on Monday, January 12, 2026, in Oklahoma City.

Sharon grew up in Cement and graduated from Cement High School in 1966.

On April 8, 1967, she married Robert Bookout and to this union her daughter Robbyn was born.

Over the years, Sharon worked at Jordan Kulmer Advertising, Oklahoma Press Association, in Economic Development with Western Farmers Electric Co-op, and retiring from MidFirst Bank.

She liked to crochet and volunteered for Newborns in Need. Sharon was big into genealogy and enjoyed organizing family reunions. She loved to shop and do wordsearch puzzles. She was stubborn and a bit feisty with a positive outlook on life and she liked to laugh a lot.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her daughter Robbyn Morris and grandson Alex Morris of Chickasha; sister-in-law Debra Bass of Oklahoma City; nephews Bob Brown of Green Cove Springs, Florida, Dean Bass of Oklahoma City, and Jeff Brown of Tyler, Texas; cousin Keith Elrod and his wife Kathy of Owasso; and other extended family and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
