A funeral service for Roberta Louise Romo, 55, of Chickasha will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Gateway to Hope Church, on Hwy 92 toward Norge, with Pastor Jerry Reed officiating.
Roberta Louise (Kolzen) Romo was born February 2, 1971, in Harrison, Arkansas, to William “Bud” Kolzen and Nancy Sue Gregoryo. She passed from this life on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at her home in Chickasha, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loved ones.
Roberta grew up in the Rush Springs area, and she attended Rush Springs schools, graduating in 1990. She was very athletic and in high school played Basketball and ran track.
On June 6, 1991, she married the love of her life, Tony Vincent Romo and they shared over 34 years together.
Berta made their house a home, staying home with their four children, Nevada, Larado, Memphis, and Levi. She also was self-employed, cleaning houses and had a consistent and reputable clients.
Tony and Berta were members of Gateway to Hope Church. She was very involved and loved to read her Bible. Things were black and white with Berta, there was no gray. She was a very giving, selfless person; she would always put others before herself. She loved to pull your leg to see if you had a sense of humor. She loved to cook. Roberta had a lot of energy and would always find something to keep her busy, whether it was starting a renovation project or building something.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Opal Capshew, step-mother Sharon Kolzen, and two aunts Diane (Kolzen) Kaufman and Stormy Rogan.
Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her husband Tony of the home; children Nevada Romo of Del City, Larado Romo of Cave Creek, Arizona, Memphis Romo of Moore, and Levi Romo of Chickasha; granddaughter Revelee Sanders; father William “Bud” Kolzen of Sterling; mother Nancy Sue Gregoryo of Ossipee; two siblings; her church family; and other extended family and friends.
Viewing for Roberta will be held on Wednesday, February 11th at Ferguson Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
