A funeral service for Riley “Donnie” Shelton, 67, of Blanchard, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Eric Thornburg officiating.

Riley Shelton was born December 19, 1958 in Quinton, Oklahoma, the son of Howard Leonard Shelton and Jewell A. (Riley) Shelton. He passed from this life on Thursday, December 25, 2025.

Riley grew up in Pocasset and graduated from Amber-Pocasset High School.

On July 15, 1987, he married Clairessa Louise Buchanan in Chickasha and they shared 38 years together.

He was employed for many years at Midwest Cooling Towers where he enjoyed his work family.

He enjoyed fishing, cars, riding motorcycles, and going to the lake. He loved his Harley and his dog Bullet.

He was preceded in death by his father Howard Shelton, mother Jewell Shelton, son Joshawa Ray Moore-Shelton, and brother-in-law Paul Kuykendall.

Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his wife Clairessa of the home; sons Jeremy Shelton and Bree of Blanchard and Jered Shelton of Norman; seven grandchildren Riley Don Shelton, Paisley Louise Shelton, Makai Keith Shelton, Malina Kaylyn Shelton, Dakota Jed Shelton, Colt Wayne Files, and Rozalyn Files; sisters Judy Kuykendall, Diane Kuykendall, Debbie Shelton-Smith and Darvin Harris, Pat Gouge and husband Terry, Barbara and husband Steve Gardes; brothers Dale Shelton and Fred Shelton and wife Lanell; and numerous other extended family and friends.

A viewing for Riley will be held Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Ferguson Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Internment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
