A funeral service for Michael Don Lewis, 63, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in the Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Emeritus Kim Hayes officiating.
Michael Don Lewis was born December 23, 1962, in Coalgate, Oklahoma to Donald Lee Lewis and Edna Mae (Sanders) Lewis. He passed from this life on Sunday, April 26, 2026 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Michael graduated from Amber-Pocasset High School in 1981. Since graduating, he has worked in the construction industry. Getting his start by building bridges with his dad at Ellis Construction and was then employed with CMS Willowbrook, Chickasha Lumber Company, Bordwine Development, and M&K Construction Services.
Mike was quarter degree Choctaw and very proud of his heritage.
On March 26, 1992, he married Kimberley Dianne Rogers and they shared 34 years together.
Mike was a very caring person, finding good in all he met; he would do anything for you, as long as you did right by him and his family. His greatest passions were his wife, son and grandkids. His favorite things to do was boating, camping, fishing and sitting around the campfire telling his stories with his family. He always had a joke for anyone that would listen. He loved to cut-up.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald Lee Lewis, mother Edna Mae Lewis-Vaught, paternal grandparents Hugh and Gladys Lewis, maternal grandmother Evelyn Sanders, and one sister Marsha Lewis.
Loved ones left to remember him are his wife of the home, Kim; son Kevin McGaughey of Chickasha; daughter-in-love Tiffany McGaughey of Chickasha; two grandsons Luke and Bentlee McGaughey; special love granddaughter Kydalynn McGaughey; sister Eva Lewis and brother Donnie Lewis of Chickasha; sister-in-law Penny Martin and husband Greg of Ninnekah; sister-in-law Shannon Huber and husband Eric of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and brother-in-law Charles “Chuck” Rogers of Chickasha; and numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.
Viewing for Michael will be on Tuesday, April 28th at Ferguson Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Interment will be in Pioneer Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
