The family of Mary Dyer will hold a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13th, 2025, at Full Gospel Church in Chickasha officiated by her son, Keith Remy.
Mary (Keller) Dyer was born December 15, 1954 in Pomona, California, the daughter of Lewis Ray Keller, Sr. and Liddie Mae (Nickels) Keller. She passed peacefully from this life August 10th, 2025 surrounded by her family at home in Blanchard, Oklahoma.
Mary grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1973.
On May 18, 1974, she married Joe Don Dyer, the love of her life, and they shared 51 wonderful years together.
She was a military wife, raising their two daughters and working hard at making their house a home wherever they were stationed. When they settled back in Chickasha, she worked for over 20 years at Delta Faucet, retiring early in 1997 and enjoyed being at home caring for her girls and husband.
Mary kept a very clean home and was “the best” cook. With her lifetime friends, she enjoyed girls’ night, shopping for purses and shoes. She loved fishing, camping, and Bible Study with family and friends. She was a dignified and classy lady. She is remembered as funny and a bit onery but with a sweet and caring spirit. Mary loved time spent with her grandchildren, especially her self-claimed “favorite,” Kenadi.
To know her was to love her. It was a great honor to have her as Wife, Mom, Nana, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. God had given her many personal words of comfort and faith through her journey, as shown in Exodus 14:14, “The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still.”
She is smiling from Heaven with her parents Lewis Ray Keller, Sr. and Liddie Mae Keller, brother Lewis Ray Keller, Jr., second parents Floyd and Billie Jo Dyer, other loved ones and friends, most likely with a fishing pole in hand.
Those who will carry her memory forward are her husband of the home, Joe Dyer; daughters Amy Remy and husband Keith Remy of Blanchard and Erica Dyer of Chickasha; grandchildren and their spouses, Madison and Byron Cooper, Mason and Kiersten Reherman, Mackenzie and Cale Greene, Kenadi Remy, Ethan Mann and Karly Mann; great-grandchildren Hazyn, Hazel, Gunner, Adelynn, Ashton, Cam, Sutton Jo, and Emmie Lou; sister Alice Keller; many nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
Flowers may be delivered to Ferguson Funeral Home until noon on Wednesday, August 13th. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home, Chickasha, Oklahoma.
