Obituary

A funeral service for Mary Agnes Alexander, 81, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Emeritus Kim Hayes officiating.

Mary Agnes (Lutonsky) Alexander (affectionately called Sug by her family) was born June 27, 1944, in Cyril, Oklahoma to Alfred Paul Lutonsky and Pauline Margaret (Lodes) Lutonsky. She passed from this life on February 3, 2026, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

She grew up in Cyril, Oklahoma with six brothers and sisters. She attended Cyril Public Schools.

On June 25, 1966, she married Carl Edward Alexander, and they shared over 59 wonderful years together.

After moving to Chickasha in 1971, she devoted many years to serving her community through her work. She was employed by Chickasha Public Schools in several roles, including driving a school bus, serving as a secretary at Southwest Elementary, and ultimately as the administrative assistant to the Superintendent. She later continued her career as an administrative assistant with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, where she worked for several years before retiring.

She was the biggest fan of her children’s sporting activities, rarely missing a game, and she carried that same enthusiasm into cheering on her grandchildren. She also faithfully supported her Oklahoma City Thunder and never missed an opportunity to root for her team.

Throughout her life, she enjoyed many hobbies, including sewing, scrapbooking, and tending to her flower beds. Above all else, her greatest joys came from serving the Lord and loving her family, who were always the center of her life.

She was preceded in death by both parents, infant sister Bernadine Lutonsky, infant daughter Carla Ann Alexander, son Michael Shane Alexander.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her husband Carl of the home; children Scott Alexander and wife Nikki of Chickasha, Stacie Rogers and husband Quintin of Blanchard, Stephen Alexander and wife Mandie of Goldsby; brothers and sisters, James Lutonsky and wife Leah of Conroe, Texas, Rita Foster and husband Nick of Hastings, Robert Lutonsky and wife Laneta of Cyril, Mark Lutonsky and wife Connie of Cyril, Veronica Moore and husband Nick of Spencer, Loretta Ross and husband Tommy of Tonkawa; grandchildren Chelsea, Ashlea and husband Blair, Seth, Cooper, Case, Braeli and husband James, and Ronnie; one great-grandson Joey; bonus grandson Kurt; many nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
