A Celebration of Life for Marilyn Roxanna “Roxie” Stewart, 68, of Comanche will be held, Thursday, July 3, 2025, at 12:00 noon in the Ninnekah Methodist Church with Jackie Banks officiating.
Marilyn Roxanna Stewart was born July 27, 1956, in Wilson, Oklahoma, the daughter of Weldon Ray Towell and Mary Jo (Gregston) Towell. She passed from this life on Friday, June 27, 2025, in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Roxie grew up in California most of her childhood and adolescent years, she married Danny at age 16 and moved to San Diego, California because of his military career. They later moved to Italy before moving back to the United States and settling in Mississippi. Roxie later married Orville Stewart and lived with him until his passing in 2006.
Roxie loved spending time with her family and friends, especially the times when they had their family get togethers. She loved having fun and was previously employed as a truck driver and most recently as a nurse’s aide in home health care where she had a passion for taking care of the elderly. She also loved to do crafts.
She was preceded in death by both parents, daughter, Baby Claire, and one grandson.
Loved ones left to remember her are her son, Ernest Weldon “Buzz” and wife Misty Hart of Mississippi mother, Lawana Jackson of Agwam; brothers and spouse, Stanley and Cheri Towell and William “Greg” Towell both of Agwam; sister, Noella and Alton Fox, grandson, Caleb Hart, and very special friend, Janet Buckner.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home
