A private memorial service for Lloyd George Lamson Jr. will be held at a later date.

Lloyd was born January 27, 1950, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the son of Lloyd George Lamson Sr. and Shirley Irene (Ayers) Lamson. He passed from this life on Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Lloyd grew up mainly in Seagoville, Texas. He met Ruth Elaine Furrh at Lake Texoma and they married on October 17, 1972, in Denison Texas. They were married for over 54 years. Lloyd spent his working life in several construction jobs that included the oilfield, Texas Highway Department and a gold mine in Nevada. His passions when he was younger include fishing, hunting, and being outdoors.

Lloyd is preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers; Michael, Mark, Gene, Douglas, and sisters; Patricia and Karen.

Loved ones left to cherish Lloyd’s memories are his wife; Elaine of the home, daughters; Lena and Jerry McKee, Amanda and Miguel Delgado; son, Eddie; grandchildren, Brytani, Courtney, Sydney Garcia, Cy, Amias and wife Nadia, Josiah Delgado, and bonus grandchild Destanie Cambell, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
