Lillian Lorene Shook, 81, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in Norman, Oklahoma, on August 23, 2026. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great‑grandmother. She married her husband, Wallace Shook, in 1967, and they were married for 59 years, raising three wonderful sons together.

Lorene was born on March 1, 1945, the daughter of Mac T. Delk and Martha Delk. She loved her family deeply, and she found joy and purpose in her farm and the animals she cared for. Her days were spent tending the land she cherished and nurturing the animals that always brought her comfort. The rhythm of farm life reflected who she was hardworking, kind, and deeply connected to the world around her.

She is preceded in death by her father Mac T. Delk, her mother Martha Delk, her grandson Kolton Dewayne Shook and her granddaughter Shawntae Shook.

Loved ones left to cherish her are her husband, Wallace Shook of Ninnekah; her three children Thomas “Skeeter” Shook and wife Sheila of Ninnekah, Dewayne Shook of Ninnekah, and Westley Shook and wife Bama of Ninnekah; brother Mac Thomas Delk, Jr. and wife Linda of Ninnekah; Robbon Russell of Mountain View; 22 grandchildren and 26 great‑grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members.

Lorene will be buried on the family land, Shook’s Happy Hill Cemetery, on Wednesday, August 26, 2026.
