A funeral service for Lewis Karl Jefferson Richardson, 66, of Chickasha will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Milton Bowens officiating.
Lewis “Karl” Jefferson Richardson was born December 8, 1959, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Floyd Richardson and Joyce L. Jefferson. After his father passed away, he was raised by his mother and stepfather Weldon Johnson. Karl passed from this life peacefully on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at his stepdaughter’s home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Karl grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1978. He then attended Oklahoma State Tech and received an Associate's degree in Auto Body. He was a truck driver for a time and worked for Bay Roids. He also worked for Midwest Towers and Gabriel Ride Control as a forklift operator.
In March 1990, he married Ethel Lavane Nelson in Arlington, Texas and was blessed to help raise her six children, loving them like his own and was a perfect Pawpaw to her grandchildren. For the past eighteen years, Karl and Sylvia Euwins shared their lives together. He loved her three girls and her grandchildren deeply. Karl loved drinking his beer, watching football and cooking on the grill for the family. Karl was a very peaceful man and was loved by many.
Karl was preceded in death by his father Floyd Richardson, grandmother Juanita L. Brown, sister Daun Johnson-Price, stepson Trent Blakes and son-in-law Jeff Craine.
Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his mother Joyce Johnson; brothers Jay G. Jefferson Richardson (Valonda), Ronald Johnson all of Chickasha, Rodney Johnson of Midwest City; ex-wife Ethel Richardson of Chickasha; life partner Sylvia Euwins of Chickasha; stepdaughters Edith Givens (Mark) of Arlington, Texas, Kim Blakes of Norman, Lillian Chew (Marcel) of Elgin, Angel Euwins-Craine and Nansi Euwins both of Chickasha; stepsons Clarence Russell of Chickasha, Dexter Russell (Sonya) of Mansfield, Texas, Julian Russell of Fort Worth, Texas; and a very special bonus son Stacy Brown (Shelia) of Grand Prairie, Texas; 38 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and many other extended family and friends.
A viewing for Lewis will be held Friday, December 19th at Ferguson Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
