The family of Larry Craig Boxley, 72, of Edmond, will have a private memorial service.

Larry Craig Boxley was born June 23, 1953, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to William Melton Boxley and Ethel Sue (Blurton) Boxley. He passed from this life on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at his home in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Larry grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1971. He then attended what is now Redlands Community College becoming a Registered Nurse.

Larry loved nursing and taking care of his patients. He spent a long fulfilling career working in ERs, hospitals, and for many years in home health, retiring four years ago at the age of 68.

On April 8, 2005, he married Sharyl Boxley and they shared almost 21 years together.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and he loved fishing. He was very loyal to those he loved. He was very independent, strong-willed with a bit of sarcastic humor.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his wife Sharyl of the home; daughters Autumn Boxley of Visalia, California, Starla Boxley of Oklahoma City, Sarah McClure of Bullhead City, Arizona, Sydney Huey and husband Nate of Yukon, and Hannah McHugh of Oklahoma City; son Hayden McHugh of Oklahoma City; sister Linda Rowe and husband Greg of Edmond; grandchildren Hunter, Tristan, Amani, G, Braxtyn, and Kadyn; and other extended family and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
