October 17, 1974 — June 14, 2025

A funeral service for Kris Anthony Penco, 50, of Chickasha, OK, will be held Tuesday June 24th, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel located in Chickasha, Oklahoma with Pastor Emeritus Kim Hayes officiating.

Kris Anthony Penco was born October 17, 1974, in Port of Spain, Trinidad to Anthony Harold Penco and Maria Penco. After fighting the battle with an aggressive form of Lung Cancer for a short 7 months, Kris passed peacefully on Saturday June 14, 2025, in New York, surrounded by his children and immediate family.

The first 19 years of Kris’ life were spent growing up in Trinidad where he met his first wife, Arlene Jaggernauth whom he married in 1994. He then made his way to the United States living and working in the New York City and New Jersey areas where he began his career in IT. In 2004 Kris moved to Oklahoma where he then married Alyson McDermott and to this union his three sons were born, Kyler, Kelan and Kuper Penco. While in Alva, Kris made many lifelong friendships, continued his college education at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and provided for his family as the CIO of SMC Share Medical Center. In 2014 Kris moved his family to Coffeyville, KS for a career opportunity as the CIO of CRMC Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, KS. In 2021 Kris moved back to Oklahoma and accepted a job in Guymon, OK as the IT Director for MHTCA Memorial Hospital of Texas County Authority. Shortly after, Kris decided to move closer to the city, where he accepted a position at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha, OK as the Director of Information Services. He loved the community and the people so much he decided to settle in and purchase a home there. He loved his new home and was looking forward to entertaining his circle of friends and family. Kris was a phenomenal cook and loved spending his time listening to various genres of music and watching movies. Traveling was his true passion and although his time on this earth was cut too short, he was still fortunate to see some of the most beautiful places on earth. Although his nature was quiet and very reserved, Kris always found a way to bring life and laughter to a gathering. Kris was intelligent, very observant, quietly hilarious, had an impeccable style and could sit and talk to almost anyone about anything. He was kind and friendly to all that he encountered.

He is preceded in death by his father Anthony Harold Penco.

Loved ones left to remember him are his mother Maria Penco of Trinidad and Tobago; Brother Dale Penco of New York; sister Desha Gay and her husband Randall Gay of Louisiana; sons Kyler, Kelan, and Kuper Penco of Alva, OK; nephews, Darrien, Randall, Dylan and great nephew Randall, III; nieces Savannah and Frida; aunt and uncle Gloria and Brian Granderson of Trinidad and Tobago; and many other extended family and friends.
