A private memorial service for Karl Leon Lehr, 52, of Chickasha, will be held by his family.

Karl Leon Lehr was born January 30, 1974, in Alva, Oklahoma, to Stephen Robert Lehr and Janice Marie (Malcolm) Lehr. He passed from this life on Thursday, February 5, 2026, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Karl moved with his family to Chickasha in 1978, graduating from Chickasha High School in 1992.

Karl loved cars from the time he was very young, and he received his certification in Body and Fender repair at the Canadian Valley Vo-tech (now CVTC) and worked in the auto body repair industry for 34 years, most of that time was with Teague Body Shop. He had worked in airplane painting for a short time.

On January 14, 2018, he married Tamara Owens and they shared the past 8 years together.

Karl was very outgoing and personable. He loved his family and friends. He enjoyed playing video games and could spend many hours at it.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tamara, of the home; sons Jayvin Lehr and friend Jamie of Ardmore, Nikolas Lehr and wife Alyssa of Ardmore, and Ian Lehr of Ardmore; step-daughter Brittany of Chickasha; father Stephen Lehr and wife Lesa of Chickasha; mother Janice Lehr of Chickasha; sister Jennifer Ryburn and husband Aaron of Edmond; grandchildren Kyle, Skylar, Kaleb and Kaden; great-granddaughter Oaklynn; niece Noel and nephew Nicholas; and other extended family and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
