A memorial service for Karen Rose Rice, 77, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Daniel Edwards officiating. 

Karen Rose Rice was born November 21, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Clayton Jessie Couch and Rose Ella (Madison) Couch. She passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Karen grew up in Oklahoma City and attended Northeast High School. She enjoyed spending time at Spring Lake Amusement Park in Oklahoma City, and she was later employed at Frontier City. Karen enjoyed putting together puzzles, playing cards, fishing, and spending time in the casino. She also never met a stranger.

Karen was preceded in death by both of her parents, sister Patricia Ann McCaslin; great-grandsons, Zachary Gabriel Stillwell and Jacob Cole Woods; and nephew Kenneth Clark Jr.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are daughter and son-in-law, Naomi and Arron Stumpf of Chickasha; grandson, Ryan Eric Latimer and spouse Amanda of Chickasha; grand-daughter, Lavelle Michelle Woods and spouse Jason of Chickasha; eight great- grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.

The cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
