A memorial service for Joyce Faye Shepard, 85, of Chickasha, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Alice Wendling officiating.

Joyce Faye (Riley) Shepard was born January 13, 1941, in Cement, Oklahoma. She moved with her family as a child to Bakersfield, California, then later moved back to Cement.

In 1958, she married Gordon Shepard, Sr. and they divorced when she was 27. She raised four sons and was a wonderful homemaker, keeping a meticulous house. She worked all of her life as a housekeeper and for 17 years she worked cleaning the rooms at Ranch House Motel.

Joyce loved flowers and gardening. She was God-fearing and loved the Lord. She had a special place in her heart for her cats. She had a fondness for gossip. She loved her family and was proud of her sons and grandchildren. She was a great cook and loved her sweets.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her sons Ricky Riley and Gordon Shepard, Jr., brothers Lester Riley and Nelson Riley, sisters Helen Marie Riley and Norma Jean Swanson, and granddaughter Jessica Reed.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her sons Rocky Shepard and wife Janese of Blanchard and Brad Shepard and wife Joy of Cement; daughter-in-law Beth Riley; grandchildren Sean Riley, Derick Riley, Dalton Shepard, Devan Shepard, Dylan Shepard, Brandon Shepard, Chad Shepard, and Leslie Shepard; numerous great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

The service and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
