A memorial service for James “Jim” Leonard Williams, 59, of Chickasha will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2025, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.

James “Jim” Leonard Williams was born August 14, 1966, in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of James Marvin Williams and Linda (Robbins) Linville. He passed from this life on October 14, 2025, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

For the most part, Jim grew up in Ninnekah, Oklahoma and graduated from Ninnekah High School in 1985. As a child, he visited his grandmother in Chicago every summer and loved the “Windy City.”

As soon as he graduated high school, he moved to Chicago and worked at a couple different careers. He was an industrial sewing machine technician and travelled the world setting up the factories. He also worked concert security at different venues for bands that came to Chicago, and they came to specifically ask for him because they liked the way he worked. When he experienced some health problems, he moved back to Chickasha to be closer to family.

Jim was strong willed and opinionated but was generous and was super romantic. He had a love for music and was a fan of anything Chicago. He liked fishing and camping and was a great cook. He had a love for children and was more patient and open with them.

He was preceded in death by his father James M. Williams, his mother Linda Linville, and his sister Jamie Kay Williams.

Survivors are his children Ronald Williams, Brittani Marie Williams, and James Daniel Williams, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; siblings, Jennifer Williams of Chickasha, Patrick Williams and wife DeeDee of Chickasha, and Teresa Richards and husband Jason of Birmingham, Alabama; nieces and nephews, David Hefner and family, Christopher and Morgan Pamplin, Bailey Amerson and family, and Brandon and Analise Williams and family, Josiah Richards, and Rebecca Richards; and other extended family and friends.
