A funeral service for Ingred Janae Johnson, 56, of Chickasha, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Nicholas Tillman officiating and Pastor Vaughn Wand assisting.

Ingred Janae (Wilson) Johnson was born October 22nd, 1969, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma to Melvin Leon Wilson and Beverly Rodenna (Lightsey) Wilson. She went to be with her Lord and Savior unexpectedly on September 27th, 2026.

Ingred grew up in Pauls Valley and attended both Pauls Valley and Chickasha schools, graduating from Chickasha High School in 1987. She worked as a dietary aide for 20 years at Grady Memorial Hospital.She was called “Sunshine” by those who knew her. She enjoyed going to church on Sundays and then her mother’s house for Sunday lunch afterward. She also enjoyed going to Walmart and looking around.

Sunshine and Darrell Dean Johnson shared 37 years of life together and were reunited in marriage on October 18th, 2013.

She loved her family and was the best Mimi to her grandchildren; she will be deeply missed.

Ingred was preceded in death by her father Melvin Leon Wilson, grandmother Maultie L. Fields, aunt Lisa Eyabi, grandfather Earnest B. Lightsey, cousins Natasha Russell and Ray Fields, sister Felicia (Wilson) Mulvaney, and brother Melvin Wilson, Jr.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her mother Beverly Wilson of Chickasha; brothers Steven Wilson and wife Brittany of California, Christopher Wilson of Chickasha, Brandon Wilson of Chickasha; husband Darrell Johnson of the home; children Darrell Johnson and wife Sinead of Chickasha, Matthew Johnson and girlfriend Brittany of Norman, Shania Johnson of Chickasha, Jade Johnson of Chickasha, and Chloe Johnson of Chickasha; her grandchildren Trenidy Storm, Adriana Skye, Normani Raine; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.

A viewing for Ingred will be on Monday, October 5th at Ferguson Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
