Graveside services for Imogene Cook, 92, of Mounds, formerly of Chickasha and Marlow, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Fairlawn Cemetery located in Chickasha, Oklahoma with Bill Ohl officiating.
Imogene Cook was born September 30, 1923 in Middleburg, Oklahoma, the daughter of George and Berty (Prater) Cluck. She passed away on September 15, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Imogene attended Middleburg Schools and later in life she attended OWC in Chickasha. She received her BS Degree and taught third grade in Marlow for 27 years.
She married Albert A. Cook and they enjoyed a lifetime of companionship until his passing in 2009.
Imogene enjoyed canning and gardening. She had high expectations for herself and those around her.
She was preceded in death by both parents, husband, Albert A. Cook, and step-sister, Ella Irwin.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Carlotta and Roger Mauldin, of Mounds; two sisters, Arietta Hightower of Newcastle and Hazel Mills of Yukon; three grandchildren and their spouses, Kim and Tom Reed of San Marcus, California, Steve and Susie Mauldin of Biggs and Danetta and Andrew Hinson of Claremore; four great-grandchildren, Matthew Mauldin, Colin Reed, Jacob Mauldin and Daxton Hinson; and other extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
