Private services will be held by the family for Gary Heyer, 59, of Chickasha.

Gary Heyer was born May 8, 1958 in Anadarko, Oklahoma, the son of Donald Heyer and Roberta Elvira (Harrison) Heyer. He died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Gary grew up in the Chickasha area and graduated from Chickasha High School.

On November 14, 1980, he married Tammy Ann Sanders in Chickasha and they were married for over 37 years.

Gary was a United States Army Veteran and had worked as a newspaper carrier.

He liked following politics, watching the news, and yelling at the TV. He enjoyed dressing up like Santa and was a great cook. He loved playing with his grandchildren.

Gary was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Michael Heyer.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Heyer, of the home; daughter, Tassenda Robison and husband, Dan, of Clearwater, Florida; son, Zircon Heyer of Chickasha; daughter, Delisa Reed of Chickasha; brother, Jerry Heyer of Rochester, New York; grandchildren, Evan, Logan, and Nolan; and other extended family and friends.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
