Obituary

A memorial service for Frank Edward Farmer, Jr., 69, of Chickasha will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in the Southern Oaks Church of Christ with Glyn Day officiating.

Frank Edward Farmer, Jr. was born February 15, 1956, in Odessa, Texas, to Frank Edward Farmer, Sr. and Itha Wilemma (Martin) Farmer. He passed from this life peacefully January 9, 2026, at his home in Chickasha, Oklahoma surrounded by his family.

Frank grew up the son of a chemical engineer with the oil & gas industry, which resulted in him living in Odessa, Grand Saline, and Tyler, Texas, as well as Oklahoma City and Bethany, Oklahoma. He also spent several years in England.

He returned to Oklahoma City and graduated from Putnam City West in 1974. He then attended UCO and graduated with an accounting degree in 1978. Frank began his accounting career as an auditor for Arthur Anderson before going into banking. He spent the next 40 plus years helping people build their dreams and helping those who needed financial guidance.

On February 2, 1985, he married Jana Knox, and they shared over 40 years together.

Frank’s most cherished thing in life was his wife and children. He lived everyday trying to be a good example of Christ to them. He enjoyed his grands so much; “Claire Bear with the Golden-brown hair,” “Connor the Conman,” “Cooper the Coopmon,” and “Carter the Cartman.” They all knew if PaPaw was around, so was the tickle spider. Another fond memory was the SOCS summer of baseball. For those that know—it was the best!

He was an avid true Texas Longhorn Fan, supporting them win or lose.

He was preceded in death by both parents and his sister Carol Farmer.

Loved ones left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jana of the home; daughter and son-in-law Terrah and Galen Walls of Oklahoma City; son Chance Farmer of Oklahoma City; grandchildren Claire Walls, Connor Walls, Cooper Walls, and Carter Walls; sister Judy Day of Lubbock, Texas; father-in-law Carter Knox of Duncan; brothers-in-law Joel Knox and wife Karalea, and Jeff Knox; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and other extended family and friends.
