A funeral service for Elizabeth Ann Schenk, 89, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Epworth United Methodist Church with Reverend Kyle Clark officiating.
Elizabeth Ann (Huntley) Schenk was born June 17, 1935, in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, the daughter of Urban Eugene Huntley and Ellen Dee (LaBoon) Huntley. She passed from this life on Friday, April 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Beth Ann attended and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1953, where she was a cheerleader, a member of the Pepettes and Future Homemakers of America. Her senior year she was named FFA Sweetheart.
After marrying Don in 1953, the two began dairying and continued this venture as Do-Be Holstein Farms. In 1982 they were recognized as the Oklahoma Farm Bureau Farm Family of the Year. They enjoyed many friendships and experiences through their association with the Oklahoma Holstein Association, Grady County Farm Bureau, and the Federal Land Bank. Don and Beth shared a unique, loving bond that will never end. They were loving, supportive parents who instilled family values into their three children through living by example. Activities of their children and grand-children were the highlights of their life. Family was everything!
Beth Ann was active in the Chickasha community, having been a member of Town & Country Club, Beta Sigma Phi, Farm Bureau Women’s Committee, Altrusa, and United Methodist Women. She supported the Meals on Wheels program by delivering meals to the elderly for many years. Beth was a sweet, kind woman who loved welcoming everyone into her home and family. Visitors would always be treated to her chocolate chip or Special K cookies of which there were endless supplies of fresh batches. She especially loved decorating her home for Christmas and hostessing her church circle and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Don Schenk, and granddaughter Emily Schenk.
