Memorial graveside services for Elizabeth “Ann” Erwin, 86, of Chickasha, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020 in Fairlawn Cemetery with Reverend Scott Keneda officiating.
Elizabeth “Ann” Erwin was born on February 25, 1934 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Andy O. Campbell and Margaret Campbell. She passed away on October 17, 2020 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Ann grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Central High School in 1952, where she was active in the music and choir programs. She attended The University of Oklahoma, where she was a legacy member of the Delta Gamma Sorority along with her sister, Peggy.
Ann met William G. “Bill” Erwin while at OU and they were married on August 6, 1955, in the First Presbyterian Church in OKC. After completing their education and various moves to Air Force bases while Bill served in the USAF, they made their home in Chickasha in 1965 and together they raised three children Sherron, Stephanie and Steve.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, creating a loving home for her family. She was active in her children and grandchildren’s upbringing including scouting, school, church and athletic activities. She loved playing the piano, especially her baby grand piano. Hymns were her favorite songs to play with “The Old Rugged Cross” being her favorite. Her favorite scripture was the 23 rd Psalm.
Ann was a longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Chickasha, where she gave her time and talents to various church activities, including UMW, Pairs and Spares Sunday School Class, Choral and Bell Choirs, fundraising events and youth ministries. She was a past member of Junior Social Workers, Red Hat Society, and PEO Chapter CR, where she served as past president and held numerous offices. She was also a member of Great Plains Emmaus Community.
Ann enjoyed family trips and travel, fishing with Bill at their cabin at Ft. Cobb Lake, sewing, gardening, playing cards with close friends, bird watching with a special love for cardinals, cooking for and entertaining family and friends during the holidays and OU football.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandson Thomas Baker; her sister and brother-in-law Peggy and Tom Manar; her nephew Jeff Manar and her parents Andy and Margaret Campbell.
She is survived by her husband Bill of the home; brother Andy “Bud” Campbell and wife Karen of Durant; daughter Sherron Powell and husband Kenny, daughter Stephanie Lantz and husband Royal, and son Steve Erwin and wife Rebecca, all of Chickasha; grandchildren, who adored her, Josh Powell, Terry Allen and James Myers, Jarred Powell and wife Cassidy, Jillian Powell Nieto and husband Bearren, Jaimie Milliser, Jordan Baker, Austin Erwin, Jarett Erwin, Jessica Erwin Longest and husband Corey, Chelsea Suanny, Chanel Lantz, and Cody Whittington and wife Kenzie; as well as great-grandchildren Landon, Reece, Boston, Harley, Macki, Alia, Knox, Nora, Bearett, Bryn, Cherub, Jayton and Analiese; nieces Melissa Burgen, Marsha Cook, Debbie Falls; nephew A.O. Campbell; and other extended family and friends.
The family extends their appreciation to Dr. Don Hess, Lifeline Home Health and Hospice and Brookdale Assisted Living Facility for the care they provided.

Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
