Funeral Services for Diana Gaye Jack, of Alex, will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel.
Diana Gaye Jack, born June 5, 1954, in Alex, Oklahoma, the daughter of Durel “Tots” Rodgers and Eunice Lavern (Bayless) Rodgers. She was called home on October 10, 2026.
Diana attended Alex High School, where she completed her education. She later on went to Cosmetology School at Swainsboro Tech in Swainsboro, Georgia.
In 1979 she married Steve Elsener and from this union her children Eric and Amy were born.
Diana was a devoted daughter, loving mother, proud grandmother, and a woman whose strength and determination left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She was one of three children born to Eunice Lavern Rodgers and William Durel Rodgers. Throughout her life, Diana shared a special bond with her mother and was always her mama’s girl. She carried a deep love for her mother and a lifelong desire to be there for her and help in any way she could.
Of all the roles Diana held throughout her life, none was more important to her than being a mother. She devoted herself to staying home and raising her two children throughout their childhood, giving them her time, her love, and her unwavering presence. Being a mom was her greatest joy, and her children were at the center of her world. She took great pride in raising her family and loved her children with everything she had.
As much as Diana cherished being a mother, becoming a grandmother brought another kind of joy to her life. Her grandchildren were her world, and she loved each of them dearly. She was incredibly proud of them, and they held a special place in her heart. Her love for her family was fierce, unwavering, and unconditional.
Diana was a woman who could never be described as ordinary. She was strong, smart, determined, and fiercely independent. She spoke her mind, never hesitated to stand up for what she believed, and never hid what she was thinking or feeling. She was a force to be reckoned with, a woman who lived life on her own terms and loved her family with that same fierce spirit. Those who knew her knew that she was unapologetically herself, and her strength was a defining part of who she was.
She later married Robert Jack in 2010 and they enjoyed several years together until his untimely passing in 2019.
Diana’s greatest legacy is the family she loved so deeply. Her presence, her strength, her devotion, and the memories she leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and the family who will carry her memory forward.
Diana is survived by her loving mother, Eunice Lavern Rodgers; her sister, Priscilla Read, and her husband Jerry Read; her son, Eric Elsener, and his wife, Rose Clark Elsener, of Cameron, North Carolina, and their three children, Eli, James, and William; and her daughter, Amy White, and her husband, Brad White, of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, and their two children, Jagger and Willow.
She is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Jack; her father, William Durel Rodgers; and her brother, Randall Rodgers.
Diana will be remembered for her fierce love, her unwavering strength, and the immeasurable love she had for her family. She was, above all else, a mother and grandmother whose heart belonged to the people she loved most.
Her life made a lasting difference, and she will be loved and missed always.
There will be no public viewing.
Service and burial are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
