Deloris Jean Rodgers

A funeral service for Deloris Jean Rodgers, 87, of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Wendee Perceful officiating.

Deloris Jean (Reynolds) Rodgers was born January 28, 1938, in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Thomas Lee Reynolds and Sophia Catherine (Miller) Reynolds. She passed from this life on June 19, 2025, in Chickasha, Oklahoma surrounded by her family.

Deloris was raised in Tuttle and graduated from Tuttle High School.

She married Ron Douglas and from this union her four children were born.

She worked at Humpty Dumpty as a checker. Her passion was sewing, quilting, and embroidery. She loved working in her yard and flower beds and monitoring the neighborhood yards.

In 1986, she married Glen Rodgers, and they shared twenty-two years together. They enjoyed going square dancing and traveling. She had visited all 50 states.

She was an avid fan of the Oklahoma Thunder and OU Football. She was the “official” scorekeeper for her granddaughters’ games, so if the scoreboard wasn’t exactly right, you could ask her. She was feisty, outspoken and loved her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen, sons Scott Douglas and Jeff Douglas, sisters Opal Reynolds and Betty Base, and brother Dellow Reynolds.

Loved ones left to remember her are her daughters Tammy Monroe of Tuttle and Linda Long and husband Bruce of Tuttle; sister Geneva Boyer of Tuttle; stepdaughter Gayle Elliott of Chickasha; stepson Stacey Rodgers and wife Donna of Ninnekah; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

Viewing for Deloris will be at Ferguson Funeral Home Sunday, June 22nd from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family present to receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, located in Tuttle, Oklahoma, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
