A private memorial graveside will be held at a later date by the family for Cynthia Gail Moon, 64, of Chickasha.

Cynthia Gail (Franks) Moon was born May 12, 1962, in Chickasha, Oklahoma to George Ray Franks and Vivian “Joan” (Harris) Franks. She passed from this life on July 19, 2026.

Cindy grew up in Chickasha and graduated from Chickasha High School. She then attended Northeastern State University and later earned a master’s degree from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.

Cindy was a teacher at heart, and she had a gift for building lasting relationships with every child she encountered. She brought energy with her wherever she went and cared deeply for the people who came into her life. Her sly, infectious smile had a way of pulling you in and lingering long after she’d left the room.

Cindy lived life to the fullest and found joy in the simple pleasures, good company, good conversation, and time spent with those she loved. She had a heart of gold and touched the lives of everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by both parents, infant brother Jimmy Franks, and husband Keith Moon in 2005.

Loved ones left to remember her are her son Joshua Franks and wife Krista of Owasso, grandchildren Caroline and Griffin Franks; brother Stephen Franks; niece Stevie Franks and Chad Miller, great-niece and great-nephew Brynlea and Cason Miller; aunt Betty Biggs; and aunt Jean Love, along with her family, Jeff and Jaymie Pinkley, Lindsey Love, Chandler Haile, Camryn Pinkley, and Jackson Harmon; and her best friend Dell Williams.
