The family of Carolyn Sue Buckner, 79, of Chickasha, will hold their own private memorial services.

Carolyn Sue Buckner, known as Carol, was born July 15, 1946, at home in Bradley, Oklahoma, to Floyd Fitzpatrick and Lizzie Belle (Crab) Fitzpatrick. She passed from this life on January 2, 2026, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Carol attended school in Cox City. She had a great career working in home health for over 22 years. She liked to go shopping. She was fun and was quite a character with a witty sense of humor. She had lots of stories she liked to share.

She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Jerry Buckner, and her niece Debbie Ramsey.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are her daughter Donna Buckner of Chickasha; sister Barbara Ramsey of Missouri; “adopted” daughter Penny Fuller; son-in-law Gary Carter; granddaughter Jessica Carter; grandson Cody Carter; granddaughter-in-law Rachel Carter; great-grandchildren Jett, Chassi, Isacc, and Asher.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
