Funeral services for Carolyn A. Walker, 63, of Ninnekah will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2012, at the Cowboy Country Church with Lynn Walker and Johnny Freeman officiating.

Carolyn A. Walker was born in Wilson, North Carolina, on September 18, 1948, the daughter of Oliver Luther Stallings & Ladama Starlight (Bierly) Stallings.  She passed on Monday, July 9, 2012, in Chickasha.

As a young child Carolyn moved to Washington, D.C. and spent most of her childhood in that area.  She married Kenneth Doyle Crownover and to that union her two daughters were born.  In the early 70s Carolyn moved to Marlow where she was mother to her daughters and worked part-time at various jobs.  On May 19, 1988, she married Karil Walker in Wichita Falls, Texas.  She and Karil moved to Chickasha in 1994.

Carolyn loved her Father in Heaven above all and loved His Word.  Second only to Jesus was her family, whom she adored with every fiber of her being.  She loved to sing with her husband Karil in their Cowboy Country Church band.  She enjoyed gardening, crafts and her dog, Hally.

She was a blessing to each person she knew.

She was preceded in death by:  both parents; brother, Fred Stallings; and grandson, Jace Johnson.

Survivors include:  husband, Karil Walker of the home; daughters, Angie Johnson & husband Johnny of Oklahoma City and Shelly Stebens & husband Ron of Stillwater; grandchildren, Jake Johnson, Tel Johnson, Molly Johnson, Kace Johnson and Catch Johnson of Oklahoma City, and Kimberly Stebens, Isaac Stebens, Nathan Stebens of Stillwater.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
