A funeral service for Arvilla Mae Nightingale, 90, of Moundridge, Kansas, formerly of the Verden area, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, in the Plainview Mennonite Church.

Arvilla Mae (Koehn) Nightingale was born January 20, 1935, in Galva, Kansas to John B. Koehn and Ida (Becker) Koehn. She passed from this life on January 5, 2026, in Moundridge, Kansas.

Arvilla grew up in the Galva, Kansas area and attended the South Diamond School.

On January 1, 1952, she married Frank Nightingale in Galva, Kansas and they shared 68 years together until his passing in November 2020.

She was a longtime member of Plainview Mennonite Church.

Arvilla was preceded in death by both parents, infant grandson, Rylan Nightingale, great-grandson Skylar Don Nightingale, three brothers and two sisters.

Loved ones left to cherish her memory are son Arvin Nightingale and wife Kristine of Mountain Grove, Missouri; son Mark Nightingale and wife Brenda of Cement; grandchildren and their spouses Anthony and Sherilyn Nightingale, Delayne and Tiffany Nightingale, Kaylia and Caleb Buck, Logan and Courtney Nightingale, Kiandra Nightingale, Danny and Melissa Nightingale, Kendra Nightingale, Daryl Nightingale and Miranda Nightingale; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

Viewing will be at Ferguson Funeral Home on Thursday, January 8th from 1:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Interment will be in the Plainview Mennonite Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma, under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
